LOWER EAST SIDE (PIX11)– A dispute over a jacket may have lead to one teenagers death. 16-year-old Raphael Ward was shot in the chest on Friday. According to published reports Ward ran to a nearby deli after the shooting, saying he had been approached by people who wanted his jacket. It is believed the jacket was similar to this Marmot coat, costing hundreds of dollars. Paramedics reported to the scene and transported him to Beth Israel Hospital. Ward died on the way there. No arrests have been made.
