Life After Sandy

Saying goodbye to the Long Beach Boardwalk

Demolition to a Long Island landmark ravaged by hurricane Sandy begins on Saturday.

The Long Beach Boardwalk was built in 1914 and was known as the “heart and soul of Long Beach.”

Demolition will take about a month, it will be replaced with a new and stronger boardwalk.

It's looks like the boardwalk in Jones Beach. I grew up in long beach and will miss her very much!
