NEW YORK (PIX11) – It’s the bill that keeps getting bigger and bigger.
The cost of overtime for Hurricane Sandy first responders is going to cost the city an additional $154 million — and that’s just for starters.
The cost does not include the monies spent on city housing and public hospitals.
So far, officials say the New York City Police Department has racked up the biggest expense of more than $71 million in overtime.
