Air travelers braced for another tough travel day at area airports as wind and rain wreaked havoc on flight schedules.
On Wednesday, as severe weather hit the area flights at LaGuardia Airport were arriving about 90 minutes late according to the FAA. Delays at JFK and Newark Airports reached an hour and 15 minutes with lots of flights canceled.
Thursday morning at LaGuardia stranded passengers could be found sleeping on benches and window sills and a number of flights were canceled or delayed for an hour or more.
The majority of those flights were heading to or coming from places like Chicago, Toronto, Raleigh-Durham and Miami.
At JFK, delays were reported to be about 15 minutes, and at Newark delays were also about 15 minutes.
