The latest storm system the moved through the area continues to batter the Jersey Shore.

High tide is now creeping up at the shore – and the water continues to rise.

Monmouth and Ocean counties were again hit hardest, leaving about 5,000 without power.

That area remains under a coastal flood warning until 9:30 Thursday night.

Seas are expected to rise 6 to 10 feet.
