Pedro Hernadez, accused of killing 6-year-old Etan Patz, pleads not guilty Wednesday to two counts of murder and one count of kidnapping in the 1979 case.

Cops say he confessed in May to killing Etan Patz back in 1979… but today Pedro Hernandez pleaded not guilty to murder.

Defense attorney Harvey Fishbein said Hernandez will maintain he didn`t actually kill Etan.

Instead Fishbein said he will argue Hernandez made a false confession because of mental problems.
