    I buy one ticket. The net increase in one's odds by buying two or five or three hundred is negligible.

    But it's physically IMPOSSIBLE to win if you ave no ticket. So the increase in chance from infinite to merely 117 million to one is large enough that a single ticket is a reasonable expense.

    Hey, it makes as much sense as any other theory.
