Elvis Duran (http://www.elvisduran.com/main.html) and the Morning Show (http://www.elvisduran.com/pages/meettheshow/) are looking to help you meet that special someone in New York City.

“Look, we know it’s hard to meet someone in this day and age. This is just another avenue to go down to try and do so,” said Duran.

This is what radio host Elvis Duran and the Morning Show had in mind when hosting the annual “Meet Market (,(http://www.z100.com/pages/events/meet-market/)”

The event took place Thursday evening at Webster Hall. Singles came out for the free event to mingle with other Z100 listeners, participate in games and see an exclusive performance from Jason Derulo.

The Meet Market, consisted of a series of games as ice breakers. Contestants participated in a frozen t-shirt contest, musical chairs and spinning the wheel of fortune. Host of the Z100 Morning Show and of the Meet Market, Elvis Duran, spoke exclusively with PIX11 about some of the activities.

“We get total strangers up on stage to interact with each other and meet each other and hopefully they can make a connection,” said Duran.

The event is also a great way for Z100 fans and listeners to meet the Z100 Morning Show team. Members of the team including Carla Marie and Carolina Bermudez brought attendees on stage for various ice breakers.

Hip hop artist Jason Derulo also hit the stage to perform his hit singles including “In My Head and his new hit “Don’t Wanna Go Home.” Derulo, a frequent on the Z100 top playlist, has a new album coming out September 27. He got the crowd moving with his catchy songs and brisk choreography.

“Tonight was the first night performing the song,” said Derulo in an exclusive interview with PIX11.

Duran was confident in the event that introduces people in “weird and wacky ways.”

“From Meet Markets in the past, we’ve had babies born. We’ve had all sorts of results that were positive and that’s what tonight’s all about,” said Duran.
